President of Kazakhstan’s Almaty Energy and Communication University Visited Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications

  On the morning of December 15, Gani Nygymetov, President of Almaty Energy and Communication University (Energo University) from Kazakhstan, Alexander Grishin, Technical Director of the International Academy of Sciences, and Chen Fangjie, Deputy General Manager of Jiangsu Gic Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., visited Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications (NJUPT). Ye Meilan, President of NJUPT and Liu Qingshan, Vice President of NJUPT, warmly received the guests and held a discussion in the First Conference Room of the Administrative Building on the Xianlin Campus.

  Ye Meilan introduced NJUPT’s distinctive features, disciplinary advantages, and international development philosophy. She noted that NJUPT has always focused on core fields such as information and communication, artificial intelligence, and electronic science and technology. She emphasized that, given Energo University’s distinct strengths in energy engineering and communication technology, the two institutions share broad prospects for collaboration in education and technology. Liu Qingshan expressed the hope that both sides would build consensus and identity concrete pathways for cooperation. He suggested that leveraging the platform resources of Jiangsu Gic Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute to strengthen resource connectivity and complementary advantages, thereby facilitating the implementation and deepening of collaborative projects.

  President Gani Nygymetov provided an overview of Energo University’s history, disciplinary layout, and achievements in talent cultivation. He stated that he looks forward to collaborating with NJUPT to launch programs in Kazakhstan based on its leading disciplines and also plans to send more students to NJUPT for exchange and study.

  To implement the consensus reached, the two sides will set up a joint working group to coordinate cooperation efforts, establish a regular communication mechanism, and focus on key areas to ensure effective follow-through.
