Recently, the official Nature Index released its latest global university rankings (covering the period from June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025). Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications (NJUPT) ranked 163rd among global universities, marking a remarkable rise of 97 places compared with its position in May 2024. NJUPT now ranks 64th among universities in mainland China, setting a new record in its Nature Index performance.
The Nature Index tracks the number of research articles published in more than 100 of the world’s most influential and high-quality scientific journals, reflecting academic achievements in fundamental fields of natural sciences such as biology, chemistry, physics, earth and environmental sciences, and health sciences. It serves as an important indicator for assessing the high-level international research outputs of universities and research institutions in basic science disciplines.
