Professor and PhD Supervisor
Professor Xiao Fu was born in Shaoyang, Hunan Province in October 1980. He is of Han ethnic group and now a member of CPC, a doctor of engineering, a professor and PhD supervisor.
Professor Xiao won his Bachelor degree of Engineering in Computer and Applications from Jiangsu University of Science and Technology in July 2002 and Doctor Degree of Engineering in Computer Application Technology from Nanjing University of Science and Technology in January 2007. He joined the School of Computer Science and Technology of NJUPT as a teacher in March 2007 and was promoted to professor in July 2014. In February 2016, he was appointed Vice Dean of the School of Computer Science and Technology and Vice Dean of the School of Software. In May 2019, he became the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean of the School of Computer Science, School of Software and School of Cyberspace Security; in January 2023, he became a member of NJUPT Standing Committee of CPC and Vice President of NJUPT.
He has long been engaged in teaching and scientific research in the areas of IoT sensing and computing, data center network, IoT security, etc. He has presided over more than 20 key projects, for instance, the National Outstanding Young Scientist Fund, National Natural Science Fund Key Project, National 863 Program Project, National Key R&D Program an Project, Jiangsu Provincial Outstanding Young Scientist Fund, Jiangsu Provincial Key R&D Program and Major Science and Technology Demonstration Project, Huawei Research Project, Jiangsu Provincial Key Project of Teaching Reform, etc. He has published more than 100 academic papers in high quality journals and conferences at home and abroad, and won the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress of the Ministry of Education, the 15th Ministry of Education Fok Ting Tung Education Foundation Award for Young Teachers in Higher Education Institutions, the 16th Jiangsu Youth Science and Technology Award, the Second Prize of Jiangsu Teaching Achievement, and the First Prize of Jiangsu Microlearning Teaching Competition for Universities, etc.
He has been selected as the recipient of the National Outstanding Young Scientists Fund (2021), the National Young Talents Program (2017), the second-level training target of the “333 Project” in Jiangsu Province (2018 and 2022), the first batch of excellent organizer in grassroots teaching in Jiangsu Province (2022), the excellent organizer of science and technology innovation team in Jiangsu Province (2019), and the head of the leading talent team in Jiangsu Province (2022).
