Wang Zongrong: Vice President and Member of the Standing Committee of CPC of NJUPT, Ph.D. Supervisor


Professor Wang Zongrong was born in Shouyang, Shanxi Province, in 1964. He is a member of CPC, a doctor, a research fellow and a Ph.D. supervisor.

In July 1986, Mr. Wang graduated from Nanjing Aeronautical College (changed its name to the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1993) with a major in aircraft manufacturing engineering and was assigned to work at his Alma Mater after graduation. Over the years, Doctor Wang held a number of positions in various departments of NUAA (successively serving as counselor, secretary of party general branch, secretary of the office of the Party Committee, deputy secretary of the General Party Branch of University Administrations, deputy secretary of the party committee of the College of Aeronautical Engineering, deputy minister of the Student Service Department, secretary of the party committee of the School of Information Science and Technology and director of the office of the party and government of NUAA). Later, he was appointed President and deputy secretary of the party committee of Jiangsu Jiaotong College in June 2009 and vice president and member of the Standing Committee of CPC of NJUPT in July 2012. In July 2012, he became a member of the Standing Committee and Vice President of the Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and in September 2018, he began to serve as deputy secretary and vice president of the Party Committee of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications.

For many years, Wang has been engaged in higher education management, party building and ideological and political education, and study of Marxism and the teaching of and scientific research into many Marxism-related courses. He has also conducted numerous major research projects on philosophy and social sciences at provincial levels, and was a compiling member for the text book Career Guidance for College Students, and has published over 30 research papers in core journals and other official publications. He mainly works as professor and Ph.D. supervisor at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, member of China Aviation Association, executive director of the Jiangsu Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, managing director of China Association of Staff and Workers Education and Vocational Training, standing director of China Institute of Communications Education, and vice President of China Renewable Energy Society. In June 2011, he won the Award of Outstanding Contribution to Chinese Polytechnics.
