Professor Min Chunfa’s visit to Moscow Technical University of communications and Informatics

At the invitation of Moscow Technical University of communications and Informatics and Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications, a four-member delegation of our university, lead by Professor Min Chunfa, secretary of the CPC Committee of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, recently paid a visit to the two Russian universities to fully discuss the rebuilding of cooperative relation and sign related deals. Of the four universities directly under Russia’s Ministry of Communications and Informatization Technology, the two are well-known universities which cultivate talents of communications and information on a large scale.

Secretary Min and his associates received high respect and warm reception. They had talks with Artem S. ADZHEMOV, President of Moscow Technical University of communications and Informatics, vice president Oleg P. IEVLEV, and staff in charge of the foreign affairs section. The two sides respectively introduced the development and construction of their own university, thoroughly exchanged views on major setting, mode of fostering talents, and internationalization, and reached consensus on enlarging and deepening cooperation. Accompanied by the vice president, Secretary Min and his associates visited several schools and departments, laboratories, the training center jointly established by Huawei company and the university. At secretary Min’s invitation, the delegation of the university will visit our university at a proper time.

In Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications, president Alexander A. GOGOL and vice president Oleg ZOLOTOKRYLIN warmly looked back on the previous cooperation between the two universities and their excellent impression on China and Chinese peers, holding full and friendly talks with the guests about the rebuilding of cooperative relation in talents cultivation, joint education programs, scientific research, university-run industries, and communication between the two universities. Accompanied by president GOGOL, vice president ZOLOTOKRYLIN, and staff in charge of relevant departments, Secretary Min and his associates called at the new and old campus, information exchange center, laboratories, multimedia classrooms, and affiliated schools, and exchanged views with teachers and students in classes. Through careful negotiation, secretary Min and president GOGOL signed cooperative deals on behalf of their own university. At secretary Min’s invitation, the delegation of the university will pay a visit to our university at the end of 2009 to further discuss details in cooperation.

The delegation of out university also visited Moscow University and talked with its students.
